Sixth Form
In the Sixth Form, we follow WJEC's Drama and Theatre Studies courses. Students can study AS and A2 in this subject. Similar to the GCSE course in format, focusses include practical exploration of a range of theatrical forms and close investigation of the roles of director, designer, performer and audience. Students devise original drama and interpret scripted drama through performance. They also visit the theatre frequently, becoming eloquent critics over time. The written examinations focus upon dramatic texts in context and performance.
'Actors are athletes of the heart.'
– Antonin Artaud
Year 12 students introduce themselves to the audience ahead of a devised performance influenced by Antonin Artaud and Theatre of Cruelty.

A Sixth Form society that explores the genesis of theatre. Boys work from ancient scripts and create their own adaptations.

Every year, boys have the opportunity to participate in a large scale production as performers, designers, crew and technicians.
